Terms of use
Last updated 4 November 2026. By using Wayaroo you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Wayaroo.
1. Wayaroo is a guide only
Wayaroo shows information to help you plan: live vehicle positions, timetables, routes, travel times, level-crossing and crash-hotspot warnings, speed limits, cameras, road closures, fuel and trip costs, area figures, weather and more. Most of it comes from third parties and can be wrong, incomplete, out of date or missing. Estimates (for example how long boom gates will be down, how late a bus is, or what a trip costs) are guesses.
Always follow road signs, signals, boom gates, traffic police and the road rules – they override anything Wayaroo shows. A missing warning does not mean there is no hazard. Check important information with the official source before relying on it.
2. Driving safely
Set up your trip before you start driving. Don't hold or touch your phone while driving unless the road rules in your state allow it (for example a phone fixed in a commercially designed mount). Wayaroo speaks warnings so you can keep your eyes on the road. Never use Wayaroo in a way that distracts you or puts anyone at risk. Learner and P-plate drivers may not be allowed to use a phone at all while driving.
3. Not for emergencies
Wayaroo is not an emergency service and is not an official warning service. Satellite heat spots are not official fire warnings. In an emergency call 000. For official warnings use your state's emergency service (for example VicEmergency).
4. Area information
Area profiles are Australian Bureau of Statistics census figures for whole areas (including median rent and mortgage repayments) and don't say anything about any person or household, or match any particular home. Don't use them as the only basis for decisions about where to live, buy or rent; get independent advice.
5. Community reports
Reports are made by users and are not checked. Only report things you have seen yourself. Don't post personal information, offensive or misleading content, or anything unlawful; such reports may be removed. Reporting in Wayaroo does not notify your council or the police.
6. Sponsored spots
Results and cards marked Sponsored are paid for by the business shown. A sponsored spot is not a recommendation; the business is responsible for its offer, prices and service.
7. Your rights under Australian law
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that can't be excluded. Wayaroo is free to use, and where the law allows, it is provided "as is".
8. Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, Wayaroo's publisher is not liable for any loss or damage (including indirect or consequential loss, fines, missed services or delays) arising from your use of Wayaroo or from information in it being wrong, late or unavailable. Where liability can't be excluded but can be limited, it is limited to supplying the service again.
9. Changes and availability
Wayaroo may change, pause or remove features at any time, and these terms may be updated. The date at the top shows the latest version.
10. Data credits
Wayaroo uses open data under the licences listed on the data sources page. Transport operators and government agencies do not endorse Wayaroo.
11. Who publishes Wayaroo
